Maintenance as a profit generator

New equipment is expensive. Being able to maintain older equipment well extends its life. This leads to huge cost savings. It has been my experience that equipment held by organizations which maintain them well remains surprisingly new for a prolonged period of time. This is so even while the equipment is being exploited. Indeed maintenance is a profit generator and a cost saver for any organization.
